About our pool
The Tarrington Pool is a 6-lane, 25-meter pool, located on Sherfield Road, behind the Tarrington Club House.
Clubhouse Address: 3500 Ashwell Drive, Midlothian, Virginia 23113.
There is a small parking lot in front of the clubhouse, and a larger parking lot around to the side. To get to the larger parking lot for the pool, go through the traffic circle in front of the clubhouse, and then take your first left. The parking lot will be down the hill, and on the left. NO parking in the traffic circles, cars will be towed by CCPD.
We have standard-sized competitive starting blocks, and all races will start from the end of the pool closest to the lifeguard room / changing facilities.
Pool Rules in Effect During Swim Meets and Practices:
- No one is permitted in the baby pool area or adult pool during swim meets or practices if it is not normal operating hours. Swimmers are not allowed to use adult pool for warming up before a swim meet or during a meet.
- Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by a guardian 14 years’ old or older at all times they are at the pool.
- Lifeguards must be on duty (on the end nearest the deep end of the pool) during the entire swim meet.
- Trash must be picked up after swim practices as well as all home meets in the following areas: Flower beds, Decking, Bathrooms, Concession area, Parking lot area and outside grounds surrounding the pool. Trash will be bagged and placed in proper trash area for next day pick-up.
- Replace all pool furniture and benches to original positions. All swim team equipment will be removed after the meet and properly stored.
- NO smoking is allowed in the pool area at any time.
- Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited in the pool area at all times.
- All accidents no matter how minor must be reported to a lifeguard during swim practices and home meets.
- All Tarrington pool rules and regulations will be enforced at all times.
Pool Rules for Inclement Weather During Practice Time
Tarrington Swim Team follows the pool rules established by Swim Metro. If thunder or lightning is seen or heard everyone must immediately clear the deck. Swimmers will be allowed to return on deck 45 minutes after the last thunder or lightning.
