Tips and tricks:
Try to keep kiddos cool during the day today if you can and make sure they are hydrating! Bring cool snacks - watermelon, frozen grapes, frozen fruit pouches! Sticking a few frozen freezie pops in your cooler may not be a bad idea. Electrolytes are also obviously good.
Take some old dish towels and soak them wet. Fold up, put in a plastic bag and put them in the freezer. They will then keep things in your cooler cold but can also be pulled out to drape around the neck and hit major pulse points. This will be huge for the first hour or two we are swimming.
Additionally, we are setting up misting stations at Clerk of Course and 2 others: one on deck and one up near the clubhouse. Tents are welcome on and off deck for additional shade.
